Bob and Mary Billau
Visited CAPE DISAPPOINTMENT on August 19, 2003 with Letha and Vern Bouwman
by taking a short hike up from a parking lot. The view is from an old gun in-placement
prepared to sink approaching enemy ships. To the left is a Coast Guard
Station.
The light house is located at the mouth of the Columbia River, at the tip of peninsula extending
from the right, (north) edge of this post card photo. Oregon is on
left, Washington on
right.
Before crossing this long bridge, the four had lunch at the Pig-n-Pancake in Astoria, Oregon.
